How to download your Suno songs in 2026

On September 3, 2026, Suno started capping downloads by plan, and the caps also apply to songs made before the change. Here's how downloading works now, how to make the most of your allowance, and an option if you need more files than your plan gives you.

Make a song you can download NeonSong is a separate service. It can't download songs from Suno.

Updated October 2026. Suno's plans change; check Suno's own pages for current numbers.

Downloading a song from Suno

  1. 1

    Open the song

Sign in to Suno on the web or in the app and open the song you want from your library.

  2. 2

    Check your remaining downloads

Downloads now count against your plan's allowance, so check how many you have left before you start.

  3. 3

    Download the final version

Use the song's download option and pick a format your plan includes. Save drafts for later and spend downloads on the versions you'll actually use.

What changed on September 3, 2026

In August 2026 Suno announced that downloads would be capped per plan from September 3, and that the caps cover songs created before that date too. Free accounts were hit hardest. Reported per-plan numbers vary between sources, so check Suno's pricing page for your plan's current allowance.

Getting the most from your allowance

  • Download finished songs, not every draft.
  • Keep your lyrics and style prompts somewhere safe. If you can't download a song, you can still make the idea again.
  • Compare what a higher plan costs with how many songs you really need as files.
  • Avoid third-party "Suno downloader" sites: they may break Suno's terms, and they stop working without notice.

Remake the song in NeonSong

If what you need is your own words as a song you can download, paste the same lyrics and style into NeonSong. Each round makes two new versions with Google's Lyria 3.5. They are new recordings, not copies of your Suno song. After a top-up of any size, every song you make downloads as MP3 and WAV, plus stems once split, for personal use with no monthly cap. Top-ups start at $4.99 and there's no subscription.

Questions

Can I still download Suno songs on the free plan?

Suno's September 2026 change sharply limited free-plan downloads. Check the download count in your Suno account for your exact allowance.

Do the limits apply to songs I made before September 2026?

Yes. Suno said the caps apply to existing songs as well as new ones.

Can NeonSong download or convert my Suno songs?

No. NeonSong is a separate service and can't access your Suno account. You can paste the same lyrics and description to make a new song here.

Will the NeonSong version sound the same?

No. It's a new song generated from your lyrics and description by a different model, so expect the same words and a similar style, not the same melody or voice.

How much does NeonSong cost?

New accounts get 1,000 free credits. A round of two versions costs 300 credits (about $0.30), and packs start at $4.99. Downloads open after your first top-up and have no monthly cap.
