How a song is made

  • You describe the song (genre, mood, voice, what it's about) or paste lyrics you wrote.
  • For Chinese and Japanese lyrics, Reading Check flags characters the model might read wrong and suggests spellings it sings correctly.
  • Google's Lyria 3.5 model writes and sings two full versions. If a version fails, its credits go back to your balance.
  • You keep the one you like, ask for another take, master it to streaming loudness or split it into vocals and instrumental.

What you may do with a song

Lyrics, prompts and audio you give NeonSong stay yours. NeonSong does not claim ownership of the songs you make, and neither does Google; whether AI-generated music can be protected by copyright is unsettled. After any top-up you can download your songs for personal use. Releasing a song on streaming services, using it in monetized videos, ads or client work needs a commercial license for that version.

Questions

Is NeonSong free?

It's free to start: new accounts get 1,000 credits, enough for 6 song versions, and everything you make can be played as a preview. Downloads open after a top-up of any size; packs start at $4.99 and there is no subscription.

Which AI model does NeonSong use?

Songs are generated by Google's Lyria 3.5 model. NeonSong adds the studio around it: guided prompts, a pronunciation check for Chinese and Japanese lyrics, two versions per round, mastering and stem splitting.

Who owns the songs I make?

NeonSong does not claim ownership of your songs, and neither does Google. Your lyrics and uploads stay yours. Copyright protection for AI-generated music is unsettled, so NeonSong doesn't promise it.

Can I use NeonSong songs commercially?
